Things you'll need....
1. a good high- pressure car wash.
2. A big bottle of "Formula 2001" by Turtle wax.
3. Some rags.

This trick is very easy and inexpensive, and the results are amazing. Our Neon has almost 98,000 miles on it and under the hood looks like less than 20k.

Okay take your car to the car wash and use the engine cleaner under your hood. Let it soak for a bit and then rinse it off. When your ready, Soak everything under your hood with 2001. If you have excessive dirt and oil grime under the hood, wipe it clean FIRST. After soaking everything with 2001, you should have a nasty white milky substance on everything. DO NOT WIPE IT OFF. Close your hood and start your car. Let your car run for 15-30 minutes, or until your car's temp gauge reads normal temp for 15 minutes.

Okay, now pop your hood again and drool, because it will look just like it did on the showroom floor. Maybe even Better.
