factory cd changer problem

I have a problem. My 2000 Concorde's cd changer does nothing but flash the lights ... it won't even eject the cd's. Is there a way to reset it and make it spit them out? Hopefully it will play again too! This is the in-dash 4 disc changer.

Have you pulled it's fuse? Stupid question, but it is a start.

I did a little research and it seems to be a common problem...You may have to get a new unit and pop the old one out( pull it apart to get your cd's out)

I tried pulling the fuse but the one for the stereo did not kill power to the changer. I pulled the battery cable off...we'll see what happens when I hook it back up.

Hate to tell u, but its a super common problem. If you could pull the codes in the radio, it would tell u the cd changer has an internal failure.
Not to hard to get ur cds out tho.
Time for an aftermarket radio.

This happened in my moms cd changer. Its not hard to take apart, but its not fixable cheap. The plastic piece that's tells the changer what cd is where is broken. This will make it click and move a lot, sometimes turning on and off to 'reset' itself. Take it apart and find this plastic piece. Might be able to superglue it back. Didn't work for me though. You might be able to get a new one from chrysler. Not sure if its worth it though. I would just find an aftermarket radio.

Mine does nothing but flash all the lights. No noise or anything. This happened after the car sat for a couple months.
I'll see what happens tonight, after work.

If a 2nd gen. radio fits in it, I have my old one that I replaced for an aftermarket one. It works perfectly fine.
