That looks cool. You should try to incorporate the "Turbo2.4" a little more tho.

I agree. I threw it together kind of quick.

Looks good.. I'm not one to work with sigs/pictures etc.

With the mirror image effect that you have, it looks like you have 3 piston motor. It goes real well with the logo, but it gives the impression you're either a Geo Metro or you're packing a v6 motor somehow.

I should rearrange them and add three more and go with a radial design, stick with my aviation profession.

My other thought was to drop the middle two pistons and replace them with a set of camshafts.

I hope you take this as some constructive criticism. As I, in no way feel I could do any better.

I love the turbo deal tying things together. It's goes real well but the one piece of the turbo looks more like tranny part then a turbo one. Not sure if you drew those or found them, but maybe find something closer to a oil/water housing.

4 pistons work real well.

Adding the cams is a nice touch.. Maybe pull the two closer together and add some gears, one on the top, one on the bottom to symbolize the top/bottom of the letter "I". The pistons on top of the rods do a good job at symbolizing the top/bottom in the letter "X" so it would go well to find a way to mimic that on the cams.

Here's thought..
Drop the green logo completely and have all the parts closer together. Place the combined parts as a background image, slightly faded and off center, then from that have the green logo centered and slightly larger, colored as it is, etc. Make it look like the logo was created from the parts in the background.

Then take a look at dropping the white box that makes it all look like a drawing, and fill it with something that ties it all together.

If you went this route, you'll probably want to drop the 2.4 for something more fitting like T700 or something similar depending on what motor(s) you work on.

G.

BTW.. that T700 motor has a 15:1 compression ratio.. That's crazy.

:( I am not sure I am good at taking constructive criticism....

I put the cam gears on and am working on it. Probably wont get a chance to work on it this week, but I will try. It has been a fun project....now if only I could make my car the way I want it.......

The T700 in some variants is up to 17x compression and 2,380 Shaft Horsepower (similar to crank horsepower.) The ones in the birds that I am around are in transition from the lower powered T700 to the 1700 shp T701c engines.

How about this? I am leaning more towards something like this for the next decal that I put out.

That's sweet looking. Are you adding this stuff by hand and scanning it or using some program?

Have you noticed.. the name is shown as XMI.. but the graphic only has XI.

I'm thinking, maybe drop the M.. and spell the Xperimental backwards (from the graphic to the left.)

Or if you're thinking decals.. maybe circle the graphic with the two words.. X at 9 o'clock going up.. and I at 3 o'clock going down.

Ha,I wish I could draw like this.....

It is from line drawings that I locate online and fonts I have found and I piece them together with MS Paint and or GIMP. I have thought about the 'M' and I just could not think of a good way to integrate it, but I do not want to drop it because of all the times I have been crazy for some of my ideas.

I will play with the backward idea......

I like the circle decal idea.I will try to find some time to make a version like that.

Still using MSPaint? I'm a huge fan of MSPaint, have been since win95. But last year I ran into a program that really does a great job at taking the MSPaint concept and adding a few necessary features. Check it out..

I have been a MS Paint ninja for awhile now. It is simple and straight forward. I even used it to create a recruiting ad that my A&P school ( all 7 across the country) use to this day.

It does have some limitations and I hit a wall when I was trying to design the logo early this year. That is when I decided to at least try to get a basic hold on operating Gimp. Gimp is a free editing program similar to photoshop. I use it mainly for flipping images, color effects, motion blurs and other things that paint cannot do.

When it comes to final assembly or fonts, I usually go back to paint.

I will check out the program though.

*1997 Plymouth Neon - Expresso DOHC, 5 speed, 2 door.
*Upgrades - Custom 3"Cold air intake, relocated battery (Trunk), liteGlow 7 Color LED's everywhere inside, custom sound system with two 12's and speakers.
*Future plans - PLANS HAVE CHANGED! Thinking of starting in the top end, Head build with 16's, maybe even 18's, all titanium valves, springs, etc. Already got a pretty good header, straight 2.25 pipe. Maybe 2.5" pipe soon with SRT4 exhaust.
