Took me a second to recognize the tube you were talking about, then I memembered you have a 95 model. That is a one year only breather design that the
SOHC engine had. The 96 and up engines do not have that. I have never messed with one myself, the only 95 I ever owned was a DOHC , but Scott on here
has a 95 SOHC. I bet he feels your pain.

Those two metal lines are filled with coolant and go to your heater core.

My terminals are stripped too. It sucks trying to remove the battery. I just left the negative one slightly lose, but I've been having problems with
it coming lose, turning the battery light on then, I have to re-connect the battery. Changing out all the wires and the terminals is definitely a good
idea. I don't like how the stock ones are right now. If I get new ones I'll probably get the universal ones that have the extra wires that the stock
ones have.

I have done some not so sound fixes but I never could bring myself to do that one.
The 6 dollars and 7 minutes it takes to put universals on is worth it.

Only one thing will separate me and my neon, and that's a later fox body Mustang like 87-93. But, if I can keep the neon and still buy the Mustang,
then I'll do that instead.

Amen to that
*1997 Plymouth Neon - Expresso DOHC, 5 speed, 2 door.
*Upgrades - Custom 3"Cold air intake, relocated battery (Trunk), liteGlow 7 Color LED's everywhere inside, custom sound system with two 12's
and speakers.
*Future plans - PLANS HAVE CHANGED! Thinking of starting in the top end, Head build with 16's, maybe even 18's, all titanium valves, springs,
etc. Already got a pretty good header, straight 2.25 pipe. Maybe 2.5" pipe soon with SRT4 exhaust.
